PRESENTATION

Since its creation in 1989, CREA has become known as a place of artistic practise and for its leisure activities of substance, offering an alternative to the simplistic idea of consumption. We are looking to stimulate the individual’s creative side and to develop the potential of our members.

Since 2006, CREA has been one of ten French structures awarded the label “Scène Conventionnée Jeune Public”, (Subsidised Theatre for Young Audiences) which was conferred by the Minister of Culture and Communication. This was in recognition of the extensive work achieved by the MOMIX festival. This label helps guide the project in its aim of helping with artistic creation, but also confers certain obligations, such as cultural distribution and raising children’s awareness of the performing arts.

A wide variety of performances:

Each year MOMIX plays host to around 40 professional companies from diverse artistic backgrounds, (theatre, dance, music, puppetry, etc.), chosen for their excellence, in content and aesthetic quality, but at the same time for their accessibility to all audiences.

A festival which defends artistic creation:

MOMIX is also an opportunity to experience new artistic creations (around 40% of the programme), and above all, MOMIX offers a programme which defends humanist values and questions the viewer as an active citizen.

A local, regional, national and international festival

For more than 30 years, the MOMIX festival has become a reference-point festival in the world of performing arts aimed at young audiences. Acclaimed by professionals and journalists from across France but also abroad, MOMIX welcomes numerous programmers and broadcasters every year, for whom professional tours and meetings are organised during the festival. The program itself is international: companies coming from all over the world to present their shows (Germany, Belgium, Spain, Peru, Quebec, Italy, the Netherlands…).
